Quality of life in people with amblyopia and strabismus

In short: Understanding the quality of life impact in people living with lazy eye and the misalignment of eyes

Amblyopia (lazy eye) and strabismus (misalignment of eyes, commonly called squint) are common problems, present in approximately five percent of the general population. Amblyopia and strabismus can occur together or separately and have shown detrimentally affect patients' quality of life due to functional and the psychosocial effect of altered appearance. Therefore, this study aims to better understand quality of life impact in people living with amblyopia and strabismus-specific. It also aims to develop technologically advanced quality of life survey questionnaires in the form of item banking implemented via computer adaptive testing system.
